Agos was born in Welkom in the Free State where he matriculated from Teto Secondary School. In 1990 he started singing under Eric Muller at Pretoria Technikon Opera School. From 1990 until 1993 he sang several roles in opera including : "The marriage of Figaro", "Dialogue of the Carmelites", Fidelio and principal roles such as Rodolfo in La Boheme, Beppo in Rita and Alfred in Die Fledermaus.
 
In 1994 he joined the Pact Opera Chorus and was subsequently awarded the Opera Foundation Prize and the SAA Prize for "The Most Promising Young Artist". He has sung as one of the Gauteng's Three tenors , in soirees all over the country and they have had extensive TV exposure.
 
Corporate and Government work includes The Last Night of the Nedbank Proms, the post budget dinner organised by the Merchant Bank for the Minister of Finance, Mr Trevor Manuel, The Alan Paton Awards at the Park Hyatt, The Mandela Children's Fund, and many more. His repertoire covers genres from contemporary to operatic, catering for audiences of all ages.
 
He received a standing ovation from former President Nelson Mandela for the Community Builder of the Year in 1999. He has performed at many Gala awards and dinners for various major corporate organizations such as; SAB, Toyota, Caltex, Starfish Charitable Foundation, Daimler Chrysler, Mandela's Children's Fund, Sasol, BMF awards, SAAF, SANDF, Aids Benefits and the All African Games .
