Abbott and Crabb
Abbott and Crabb

Right!!! What can be said about these two?? They're er well they?? Are ummm….? . I suppose they're just Dave Abbot and Henry Crabb – both extremely talented musicians and comedians and they have the knack for being funny without having to be crude.

These two piece combination of Hysterical comedy and Classic Music has entertained audiences, corporates and otherwise for over 15 years… but don't let that get around – they still think they're twenty one!!… Abbott & Crabb (Dave Abbott and Henry Crabb) have become one of the bastions of the South African entertainment, cabaret and pub circuit.

They have performed at prestigious venues such as Sun City and The Carousel as well as neighbouring countries Zambia , Zimbabwe , Botswana and Namibia . In fact, it's probably easier to mention the few places they haven't played. They have been together for the last twenty years, which makes them one of the oldest surviving bands in the country.

Over the last ten years they have settled in Johannesburg , both married with children but this does not stop them from playing at distant venues on a "one off" basis. Their reputation has been built around a show, which combines stand-up comedy and sketches with a strong musical performance, based around their considerable vocal and instrumental capabilities. With vocals, guitars, violin, banjo and assorted props there is a continual change of sound and mood during the show, whether you're laughing, dancing or singing along, it will be party time!

Some of their recurring clients include:
• LIBERTY LIFE
• INVESTEC
• SIEMENS
• SAB, on an ongoing basis
• SUN INTERNATIONAL HOTEL AND CASINO GROUP

They will have you rolling around in the isles with just one word and won't get up until you can't breathe anymore. And then… they'll get you on the dance floor with music from the sixties and seventies. This is really silly stuff. Oh, and just to squash all the rumours, yes!! Henry is from Springs! ( not that you really needed to know that).. Abbott and Crabb! Without doubt South Africa 's finest (and silliest). Enjoy them, they'll be around for a long time!
