Members of this Quartet are also musicians currently in the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra and are under the leadership of Ivo Ivanov (Violin) who graduated in Bulgaria from the Sofia Academy of Music in 1986.
 
He was a student of the legendary violinst Petar Chritoskov and Eli Kasakova. In his early youth he had to the good fortune to play with the Philharmonia Pioneer Orchestra, comprisng the youngest players in the world, who were invited by UNESCO to perform at the United Nations in New York under the baton of Leonard Berstein. While still a student Ivo was emplyed as a member of the State Philharmonic Orchestra in Sofia.
 
In 1991 he joined the National Symphony Orchestra. Ivo was also the leader of the Gala "Pops" Orchestra, and is a regular solo cencert artist and has played with various string quartets and ensembles. Ivo is also a member of the Johannesurg Philharmoc Orchestra.
