Jana Strydom was born in Schweizer Reneke and has spent the largest part of her life in Pretoria before moving to Johannesburg.  She has been in the industry for 4 years.  When she finished matrix, she went overseas to work and travel Europe for 2 years.  She returned and enrolled at the Tswane University of Technology (previously known as Technikon Pretoria) where she graduated Cum Laude with a B-Tech Drama diploma.

She has worked for companies such as Franz Marx Films, where she portrayed the role of the straight forward but slightly jaded PA, Marcelle;  Urban Brew, where she presented and hosted a Talkshow called Lifestyle;  Imani Media, where she portrayed the role of Kate Ferreira (being broadcast currently on SABC 2) – a woman in search for her biological parents and she’s currently employed to Danie Odendal Produksies, playing the role of Helena Moolman in 7de Laan.

She works as a performer in television, film, theatre and the voice market.  She received the People Magazine's Crystal Award in 2004 for the best New Comer to the industry.
