Looking for an economist, futurist or demographics speaker? Everyone wants help peering into the future, either to recognize opportunity & seize a competitive advantage, or just to avoid being blind sided. The frustration is that most of the folks who can help them do this tend to look at the world through their own specific lens. An economist will give you economic data, demographers will explain the entire world through demographics, technology guru’s will describe the next whiz-bang breakthrough thing. All good stuff, but the reality is that none of these things are happening in isolation (perhaps why so many have been so consistently wrong for so long ?). Warren looks at what happens as all these trends ricochet off each other. It’s unique for the breadth of horizon it covers, the comprehensive picture it paints, and the concrete suggestions it delivers on what to do. Warren is one of the few who has real expertise, and is a masterful presenter He came out of the commissioned sales trenches, and has had line management responsibility. His presentation is not academic theory or philosophical hypothesizing. Nor is it a recitation of common knowledge you read in Time magazine a year ago. This is business leadership information, with examples of how companies around the world are using it to create sustainable competitive advantage. His material is broad enough that it has gone over very well with business, public sector, not-for-profit, health care, education . . . just about anybody. The uniqueness of Warren’s material lies in the blending of trends. Most speakers doing trends are doing a specific aspect or trend – Warren’s work is seeing what happens when they all interact with each other. It doesn’t matter where you are, or what your mission is; whatever you’re trying to accomplish will happen against the back drop of the major trends. Keynote presentationThis “future trends” presentation is most typically used to kick off an event. In its ‘basic’ form it touches on all the macro-trends, looks at what is really driving them below the surface, and describes the impact their interaction will have. It paints a comprehensive backdrop and identifies issues against which all the ensuing discussions can happen. The breadth of this material allows subsequent speakers to reference the opening session, creating linkages throughout the meeting. The Symbolics of Leadership: Making Values Come Alive This idea has proven popular with numerous association clients, and been used in a variety of ways. After the opening keynote, Warren will do an exclusive Q & A session for a specific group. |
