Hector is one of South Africa 's excellent and powerful motivational speakers who discovered his motivational speaking ability while working as a radio presenter. He holds a diploma in Public Administration, obtained at Technikon Northern Gauteng (1991-1993). He co-founded Radio TNT (now TNG) in 1992 while completing his studies.

In 1994 Hector joined Radio Bop, thinking that radio was to be his final destination, but later discovered the motivational speaker in him. In 1998 he left Radio Bop to join the I Can Foundation to pursue his passion of motivating people. He was recruited to present an inspirational show on Kaya-fm 95.9 at the end of 1998 where he also served as the community development manager. While with Kaya-fm, he launched his own personnel development and motivation company.

In 2000, he was part of the team that founded the Love-life motivational programme, working with Miles Connection, an organisation subcontracted by Love-Life.

He is currently also an associate facilitator of a renowned business presentation skills company and can be heard on Kaya FM on weekends
