Bright Young Things

Aloysias Maimane is a dynamic speaker who’s aim is to bridge the gap between the experience of the older generations and the knowledge and experience of the newer generations. His engaging and enthusiastic style has made him an instant favourite with his clients.

He has been invited to speak at many different events throughout South Africa and is a presenter for SABC 1’s CRUX.

He has a degree in Psychology, a diploma in Theology and is currently investigating the values of young people as part of a series of post graduate research projects.

Having grown up in Soweto and received an excellent education at various institutions he has the background to be able to transcend racial barriers. He is currently the chairman of the Child in Crisis foundation which trades as Induduzo. He also is a director of the New Africa Foundation and Siyakholwa; which are foundations that are concerned with social welfare with the focus in Health, Education, Youth development and NGO governance. He has a particular interest in altering negative beliefs that people have of themselves and their purpose by giving them tools to effectively change the outcome of their lives to a more useful position in society through leadership training and capacity building.

In addition to his work with TomorrowToday, Aloysias runs a consultancy that trains and equips leaders within organisations and develops capacity especially within the NGO sector. His work experience includes being a teacher at various schools for 4 years, and West Rand director of Scripture Union.
