In 1997, Sean followed Mike Horn's traverse of South America along the Amazon River from source to mouth on a hydrospeed (a compartmentalised "boogy" board) and in 2000, he filmed his traverse of the globe along the Equator un-motorised, "Latitude Zero". During the filming of this Sean undertook a three-month sailing adventure to Madagascar and the mid Indian Ocean region.

Sibusiso started climbing in 1996, successfully summitting Cathedral Peak, Mont-aux-Sources, Sterk Horn and Cleft Peak , all in the Drakensberg. In 1999 he summitted Kilimanjaro and went on to the Himalayas in 2002, successfully climbing Pokalde, Lobujé and Island Peak, all of which are over 6 000m high, as part of his training for the Everest expedition.

Terry's work experience includes teaching at High School level, 7 years with the Anglo American Corporation (AAC) and 2 years with Central Training Unit (CTU) where she was involved in the training, design and presentation of Lifeskills programmes.

He had played South African Schools Soccer and at fifteen had been invited to play for Cosmos; he had reached final trials of rugby's Craven Week in both Standard Nine and Matric; he had played four years of Transvaal School Cricket, three years of S.A. Schools Cricket. It was during these three years that he broke Graeme Pollock's record of 175 not out at that level. He went on to play in the Transvaal Under 24 team, Transvaal B, and then Transvaal A.

Zaa was born in England, and raised in Canada to parents of Cameroonian descent. He first appeared onstage at the age of six, and continued his stage career throughout his schooling. In 1990, while studying for his BA in Film & Communications, at McGill University, Zaa was recruited into The National Theatre School of Canada.
