He shot to prominence in 2002 after his courageous feat in exposing, by means of a hidden camera and secret “eyes”, the corruption of prison authorities at Grootvlei Prison. He has decided to dedicate his life to use the experience acquired in prison to join in the fight against crime. He has already presented his chilling message to various institutions and the responses testify to the impact of his message. So inspired was Pieter-Dirk Uys by Gayton’s mission that he has offered to work on an anti-Aids campaign with Gayton. A natural speaker with passion for making good his crimes against society, Gayton shares prison anecdotes illustrated with footage taken at Grootvlei Prison. Gayton’s message is inspirational and his impact enormous. Gayton’s hard-hitting message would make anybody with dubious thoughts or ideas, reconsider their intentions. His anti- corruption message is so effective that various institutions utilize Gayton in their quest to eradicate corruption in the workplace. Chubb Security was so impressed by Gayton’s method of bringing across his message that they now utilize him as a sole provider in their anti-corruption campaigns and team building seminars. He is also currently utilized by the Department of Education to bring an anti-corruption and crime message to thousand of school learners and Educators. Gayton has to date received extensive media coverage in both print and electronic media not only in respect of his message but also in respect of his much-publicized marriage to Adv. Joubert, who is an investigator for the Jali Commission that investigated the corruption that was exposed by Gayton. |
