Award winning journalist Michele Alexander has worked for the SABC, Summit, e-TV and Carte Blanche on MNET and written for the Financial Mail and The Weekender during her 27 years in the Media.

Invitations from the French government and USA embassy to study Media have increased her wealth of knowledge about communication skills. She is known as a consummate professional whose work has always stood out as courageous, honest, original, and eye opening.  Yet she has always shown a genuine sensibility and compassion no matter what issue she tackles.  Michele brings the same characteristics to her Keynote talks.  They are entertaining, witty, thought provoking and extremely relevant.

Her talk "Communication that Matters" puts the state of human connectedness under the spotlight.  She believes that we are riding the wave of a new economy - the Connection Economy. In this economy, networking, collaboration and human relationships are going to be critical to success in business.  This will require an exceptional abilitiy to interact and communicate with people, otherwise many companies will be left behind in the wake of an increasingly competitive and fast moving market.

Her talk "The Media as King Maker" gives companies a unique insight into how to keep one's head from rolling and one's reputation intact when dealing with the Media.

She gives an interesting perspective on what makes the Media tick and why Personal Branding has become so important.  Companies need to recognise the Media as a powerful tool to connect with the market and their consumers and Michele analyses why some get it right and others get it horribly wrong.
